Congratulations to Alan, Rebecca and Da’Nitra for completing the 40-hour, Certified Peer Support Training and passing their certification tests in 2022. We’re pleased and proud to add them to our staff of Certified Peer Support Counselors (CPCs).

All services at TACID are guided by the peer support model—an evidence-based practice centered on the belief that people who have faced and overcome adversity can offer support, hope and encouragement to peers facing similar situations. Participants and CPCs at TACID are all considered “peers” who share common experiences or challenges, and are walking a similar path. Together, we can connect and heal.

As a CPC, Rebecca currently facilitates our RolePlay Peer Gaming Group (Tues. 3:00-4:30 at TACID). Da’Nitra co-facilitates Generation of Change, young adult peer support for BIPOC participants, age 18-26 (Mon. Weds. Fri. 6:00-8:00PM on Zoom) and Cultivating PRIDE, peer support for LGBTQIA2S+ young adults. (Weds. 5:30-6:30PM on Zoom)
